Owless of Santa Clara

A percussionist tries to exorcise the vision of her ex-lover (who she left behind in Cuba) through a descarga — a tug-of-war between her music and his words
that continue to haunt her.

A graduate of the 2010 Women's Work Lab, Rosebud Ben-Oni is a playwright at New Perspectives Theater, and currently at work on a new play MIDNIGHT IN MATAMOROS. Her plays have been produced in New York City, Washington DC and Toronto. Her
debut book of poetry, SOLECISM, will be published by Virtual Artists Collective
in early 2013.
