Figurative art gets Real - again

Go Figurative, the world's first online gallery and
community exclusively for figurative art, today announces another first: It is
to stage Hampstead's largest ever figurative art show. Real, Hampstead will be
held at St Stephen's, Hampstead from 23rd to 27th July this year. The show will
feature a wide range of contemporary figurative art, together with a series of
events including drawing classes, talks and a display of self- portraiture
created by young people from homelessness charity, Centrepoint.

This is the first time that the newly renovated St Stephen's, a giant of the
Victorian era, has been used to hold an art show. "We are delighted to be able
to provide our large, light, airy space as the venue for this ground-breaking
event. This promises to be a visual feast," said Michael Taylor, Chairman, St
Stephen's Restoration and Preservation Trust.

"After the success of our first show in Chelsea back in March, we felt enormous
pressure from artists and buyers alike to display in the real world again.
Hampstead, with its vibrant and creative heritage, is the perfect venue for a
show of this scale and substance,' said Sally Perry, Co-Founder and Director, Go
Figurative.

'As well as the opportunity to buy some fantastic work by over 30 artists,
Real, Hampstead will also provide the opportunity to pick up artistic skills in
one of the master classes; enjoy some talks and support good causes, not least
of which is St Stephen's itself,' said Janine Collins, Co-Founder and Director,
Go Figurative.

Real, Hampstead will comprise a wide range of contemporary figurative art,
including works by the National Portrait Gallery's BP Portrait Award shortlisted
artist David Eichenberg and award winning artists; Anita Klein, Keren
Luchtenstein, Nicholas Phillips and Suzie Zamit. More than 100 artworks from
artists from the UK, mainland Europe and the US will be on show.
