What Price Glory?

This is Arthur M. at his naughtiest, and why pick only on Modigliani? I recently heard someone say that the Baby Boomer generation has produced the least lasting art or culture of any generation - how about writing about that?

Arthur Meiselman:

Your "someone" was correct, and I did write about that in this very same article—"Disposable, discardable, here tonight, gone tomorrow morning. Everyone is a painter, a writer, a filmmaker, a dancer, a musician, an artist. Anything is art and art is anything."

It is that enpowerment enhanced by digital toys and computers and the internet that has reduced "art" to the lowest common denominator and made it so disposable--just like the Baby Boomer generation. But there's hope, just not on this planet.
