Early in a 2023 Bangkok Group Exhibition, Paddy Thunvong Vongthunvong created happiness and impressed the visitors and friends who were waiting for the time when the world would stop turning with the spread of Covid19; everything stopped in anticipation before that in mid-May 2023. It was a great opportunity to come back again. He also participated in the group event "The day last day." at the Mango Art Festival at River City in Bangkok.

This was followed by the event "Lady Expression": 10 young artists at Popup Space Icon Siam, Bangkok in mid-June 2023. He had an exhibition with the Office of Contemporary Art and Culture International Association of Visual Artists of Thailand No. 16, a performance with hundreds of artists , closely following up with his solo show, My Brushwork, 7 June 2023-25 July 2023.

Here is an interview with this exceptional artist.

JY. Please share your personal history and education

PD. I was born in Bangkok. Graduated from Chang Sin College Department of Fine Arts in painting courses and faculty of Painting, Sculpture, and Graphic Arts Silapakorn University.

JY. Please tell us about the past and the artwork that you have done.

PD. Maybe go back to watercolor or work in ceramics, personally, I prefer painting. I like to work on matters close to me. Everything that you encounter in life, you hear stories from news or stories in everyday life. My point of view may be distorted in the audience's perception of the movement of the brush strokes. I presented to the audience to think further. The atmosphere of the picture is full of people. But it may also be a job to find someone who is still lonely in the crowd. It was no different from people's emotions today. Some viewers might consider it odd, social satire, and dark comedy. It's looking from the outside.

JY. I found your work strange but your work has made the audience smile lately. I just saw you back from visiting the 2023 Venice Biennale and the following exhibition. You continue non-stop.

PD. I have seen many other museums in Italy which are world-class. Many from the real thing can be used as a personal work well. and found that traveling to see art in Singapore, a small country with a variety of performances. Singapore's government and citizens give priority to a lot of art, including educational institutions, music, and art, there is also great training for students.

In addition to economic stability, Singapore also uses art. It is a driving force in the development of the country because the government believes that good quality of life must come with a life that is filled with art.

In the past 20 years, if anyone has been to Singapore, various arts can be seen around the island, from paintings, sculptures, and architecture. buildings that combine traditional culture with modern art perfectly.

In addition, the trend is "Street Art" and "Wall Art" or "Mural Art", are the works of art that help to create color and become a cultural tourist attraction in Singapore.
