A dance of courtship, bliss and betrayal set against a background of unseen but intensely felt violence, Unidentified Human Remains and the True Nature of Love is a stunning contemporary drama set in Edmonton, Alberta about a group of young people whose lives intersect and eventually bleed into one another as they search for love and meaningful relationships.

A gender-bending story of love, friendship, dating and sexual fetishism; the play revolves around room mates David, a cynical gay actor-turned-waiter, and Candy, an ever-hopeful book reviewer and their hilarious, often poignant entanglements with a psychic dominatrix, a bartender, a lesbian schoolteacher, a seventeen-year-old busboy and a misogynist yuppie.  While a serial killer plies his trade, the protagonists lock and unlock, sexually and emotionally, trading off humour, drama and fear.

 Un ballo di corteggiamento, estasi e tradimento su uno sfondo di violenza invisibile ma intensamente sentita; Resti Umani è un dramma contemporaneo ambientato ad Edmonton in Canada che tratta di un gruppo di giovani le cui vite si incrociano per poi mescolarsi l'una nell’altra in una ricerca di amore e di relazioni significative.

E’ una storia di amore, di amicizia e di feticismo sessuale. Il dramma ruota intorno a due coinquilini,  David, un gay cinico, ex attore che ora fa il cameriere e lei, Candy, che recensisce libri, sempre piena di speranza ed i loro incontri spesso ilari e a volte drammatici con, via via, una dominatrix sensitiva, un barman, una insegnante lesbica, un aiuto cameriere di diciassette anni ed uno yuppie misogino.  Mentre un serial killer porta a termine le sue attività, i protagonisti si rinchiudono per poi aprirsi, sessualmente ed emotivamente, in un intreccio di ironia, di dramma e di paura.

Il cinico David, l’ottimista Candy e la spregiudicata Benita formano un affiatato gruppo di amici alla ricerca del senso dell’amore nel disorientante mondo che li circonda.  In un clima di sregolatezze situazioni controverse giochi perversi rapporti omosessuali e non ultimo l’incubo dell’Aids condurranno ad una vera e propria sarabanda sentimental erotica che verrà bruscamente interrotta da un serial killer.

Dietro le quinte - The English Theatre of Rome: Già da diversi anni a questa, nel periodo che va da ottobre a giugno, la Compagnia ha messo in scena sia opere classiche che contemporanee in lingua inglese.
