A mythologized documentary of a production of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice in 1986 in NYC. MacAfee was learning how to direct and was assistant director on it. Since he is a poet and Orpheus was the first poet (in classical mythology), the narrator becomes Orpheus himself. (It is part of a new book, “The Re-Creation of the New World,” which he just completed.)
