Talking through current mish-mash on child-rearing
relentless parental repercussions over
transitory items like pee and poop
and grades

How much talking is too much?  Going
round the same track
so many times that you're underground
earth so hard under you
that no more digging can happen
brushing away molecule by molecule
aiming for Nirvana
and then you wake up dead

Why are we sitting around the fire listening to tales, or
feeling the goodness of song
if not to promote our sense
of passing on the strength of the group
to the children

Watching a movie or listening to music
to dispel the darkness
through a story
to have lived somebody else's life
images that aren't yours
devised from icons—

Piano playing itself
fiddle weeping toxin-release
of a rough magnitude
