An annual, project-oriented award not to exceed $10,000, the Rigging Grant can be used for a production flying or rigging effect, or a permanent installation for the improvement of a venue.  The 2005-2006 Flyhouse Rigging Grant application submission deadline is August 1, 2005. We want to say 'thank you' by offering local companies the opportunity to take advantage of our rigging developments and broaden their artistic vision without taking on financial risk." 2004-2005 Flyhouse Rigging Grant recipients The House Theater of Chicago used the award to create breathtaking flying combat sequences for their Jeff-nominated Samurai rock-and-roll spectacular, "Curse of the Crying Heart."  House Artistic Director Nathan Allen says, "The spectacle made possible by Chicago Flyhouse is amongst the most magically cathartic moments I have ever witnessed in the theatre, and one The House will never ever forget."
