Forward and Back

Arthur Danin Adler

In the beginning, there were two people. Probably more... human life evidently emerged in many places on the planet almost simultaneously. There were probably a variety of variations, but what we know is that the male and female pair of the species dominantly evolved because this combination survived and reproduced better than any other. Did we?

The evolution of the species human has been a cacophony of twist and turns and complex jumbles. It has taken a long time to reach what it is today. Actually a blink of the eye in Universal time. As I've said before, now, in the wind-storm of so-called Artifical Intelligence, it is apparent that biological evotution is at an end and you and I and our progeny are emerging into an nearly indestructibe form, self-contained, perhaps even immortal. Or are we? Well, not us... them that is coming from us.

A footnote about that wind-storm:

Fake is a term for an idea that prevails and is growing all over the Web. In the wind-storm of Artifical Intelligence, in both cases, fakes or faux, the driving motive is outsourcing, shadow contracting, tempered with compulsive consumption and no small amount of greed. It’s a motive that can be applied wholesale and reveals a bewildering array of assumptions.

Some virtual assumptions:

The U.S. government and its “virtual” President, a clone of one of America’s most beloved public philosophers – Roy Cohn.
So-called Reality television, with actors who cannot act, writers who do not write, and showrunners who trained at 'Banquets-Are-Us'.
The “virtual” music in Rap.
The “virtual” photography of mobile phones.
The "virtual" virtual in so-called social media
The army of private contractors who conduct “virtual” wars.
The army of private contractors who are creating new “virtual” American towns and cities without the need for elections.
The 95% of industrial chemicals that are virtually unregulated.
The “virtual” free-market state of China.
The illusionary nation of Cuba and its “virtual” colony – Miami.
The no-talent of the "virtual" Kardashians.and friends.
The transparency of "virtual" Dating Sites.
Sushi and the “virtual” guilt of Japan..
The "virtual" beauty of Italy vs Corfu.
The NFL and its not so "virtual" headbanging.
The MLB of "virtual" baseball.
The "virtual" safety of large airplanes.
The "virtual" safety of little airplanes.
The “virtual” separation of church and state.
The "virtual" separation of big church and big business.
The "virtual" American middle class
The “virtual” music of "virtual" music.
The “virtual” repertory of repertory theatre.
The “virtual” art of graffiti art.
The “virtual” news of the New York Post.
The “virtual” news of Fox news.
The "virtual" electorate.
Drugs, alcohol and the "virtual" PDF version of the
Christian bible.
Mother’s "virtual" milk.
…and the beat goes on.

Take your pick, add your pick, after all, we’re all part of the evolving Crowds.
