Michael Bettencourt
Rage, Rage...
The phone calls got funnier and funnier as both he and his sister, in alternating conversations, would mock-groan about how the long the man hung on to life while the rest of them, lives on hold, waited for him to let go.

Arthur Meiselman
The Passing of a Life
Earlier this year, a friend and colleague, Julius Krinski died at 81, in Jomtien, Thailand. A Hungarian/Australian expatriate, he was a remarkable man - an author, a Bon Vivant, and a world-class lover. With a poignant sadness, I remember an interview with him in 2005.

Nathan Thomas
A World Like No Other
Imagine a world that has theatre.  But it's a theatre that your papa did.  And his papa did.  And his papa did.  Decade after decade.  And it's basically once a year.  As part of a festival – a civic festival.

Les Marcott
Audition Nightmares...Lessons Learned
Austin has been known as a vibrant community for live music entertainment. What folks may not be aware of is the growing importance of Austin as a legitimate venue and proving ground for would be film makers and actors.

A Word to Hold the Silence

If words were halved, such as gentle
men for example and used less often
in such activities as policy debates
domestic feuds, jobapplications
and innercriticattacks, would
more time exist for silence
and to listening for it?

Chapter Eleven - Torment
She had never, as far as she could remember, spoken of her deepest fear. She had never given it voice. She had never challenged her husband in the ways that he had supported and carried his brother, Colin.

Osama The Demented
This four-act play, though infused with herbal remedies, is also a comedy/parody, rather a medley of politics, religion, madness! A futuristic play in its essence of time, place and events, in a sense, that the setting is a decade later after the tragedy of "9/11".  Osama, his wife, a mulla and a beautician are hiding in a cave in the northwest of Afghanistan, ringed by the clustering range of Pamir Mountains.  All four characters are afflicted, paranoid of death or captivity.  Osama's wife is an herbalist, concocting all sorts of pastes or potions for healing and sustenance.  Osama has become a carpet weaver.  The mulla is mired deep in doubts about religion, accusing Osama of zeal and bigotry.
