The Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden
The Royal Dramatic Theatre of Sweden presents GHOSTS - A drama by Henrik Ibsen translated, adapted and directed by Ingmar Bergman.
BITE in association with Thelma Holt

In an extraordinary partnership of artistic giants, Bergman brings Ibsen's powerful drama to life in a psychological interpretation of Ibsen's masterpiece.
Behind the smokescreen created by the Alving family a world of adultery, disease and incest unfolds in a series of suffocating truths that destroy their lives forever. Ghosts brings 19th Century conventions of religion, friendship, marriage and parenting under attack. Such was the outcry when the play was first written that no-one would dare stage a performance.

Internationally acclaimed for his work as a film director, Ghosts marks Ingmar Bergman's return to the British stage after an absence of 15 years.

Performed in Swedish with live simultaneous English translation via headsets. Headsets provided free of charge.
